Finance Statements API
Returns income, balance sheet and cash flow line items per period, each with its period-over-period fractional change. Currency, price to book, ROA and ROIC have no source here and are always null.
GET /v1/finance/statementsLast updated November 2026Maintained by the SocialCrawl team
When to use the Finance Statements API
Use it for fundamentals screening. Rows are keyed by fiscal period end, NOT filing date, so point-in-time reconstruction is not supported.
From the API reference
Returns income-statement, balance-sheet and cash-flow line items per reporting period as a unified FinancialStatementList. Line-item names match the financials block inside /v1/finance/quote, so both surfaces spell net_income the same way. Every _delta leaf is the period-over-period fractional change of its line item; the earliest period has nothing to compare against and reports null rather than a fabricated zero. Four leaves have no source on this surface and are always null: currency, price_to_book, return_on_assets and return_on_capital (the last two are conventionally trailing-twelve-month ratios over averaged denominators, and a single-period substitute would be a different number wearing the same name). The oldest one or two periods can arrive carrying only their identity leaves, which is what the upstream holds for them, not a fault. IMPORTANT: rows are keyed by fiscal period END, not by filing date. This surface therefore cannot support point-in-time reconstruction, and a restatement silently replaces the original figures, so a backtest built on it carries look-ahead bias.

What can you do with the Statements API?
The Statements endpoint gives you structured Finance data with computed fields in a single request. No scraping infrastructure to build or maintain.
Example Request
# GET /v1/finance/statements: 5 credits per call. Cache hits are free and failed calls are refunded.
# Check the price first for 0 credits: add dry_run=1 to the query. Nothing is fetched or charged.
# --max-time 60: the API's own time limit for this endpoint.
# --retry 3: retries timeouts, 429 and 5xx, honoring Retry-After.
# -o response.json keeps only the final attempt's body.
# One Idempotency-Key per request, reused on every retry, so a retried call is never charged twice.
