X Tweet API
Returns one tweet in full: its text, like, retweet, reply and quote counts, media attachments, author info, and creation timestamp.
GET /v1/twitter/tweetLast updated November 2026Maintained by the SocialCrawl team
When to use the X Tweet API
Use it when you have a tweet URL and need its complete record, including the quote count that the user timeline does not carry.
From the API reference
Returns detailed information about a specific tweet including the full text, like count, retweet count, reply count, quote count, bookmark count, view count, media attachments, author info, and creation timestamp. A reply carries post.ext.in_reply_to_id and post.ext.in_reply_to_username, and post.ext.conversation_id is the id of the post that opened its thread (the tweet's own id when it starts one). Any handle in the URL path is ignored: X serves a status by its numeric id, so the author reported here is the one the platform returns, which can differ from the handle you sent.

What can you do with the Tweet API?
The Tweet endpoint gives you structured X data with computed fields in a single request. No scraping infrastructure to build or maintain.
Example Request
# GET /v1/twitter/tweet: 1 credit per call. Cache hits are free and failed calls are refunded.
# Check the price first for 0 credits: add dry_run=1 to the query. Nothing is fetched or charged.
# --max-time 10: this endpoint's measured p99 latency x 1.5.
# --retry 3: retries timeouts, 429 and 5xx, honoring Retry-After.
# -o response.json keeps only the final attempt's body.
# One Idempotency-Key per request, reused on every retry, so a retried call is never charged twice.

trim=trueSame price, lighter payload: drops the bulky raw fields.
Parameters
| Parameter | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
| url | Yes | Full URL of the tweet. The numeric status id is what identifies it; the handle in the path is not checked |
| trim | No | Accepted for backwards compatibility and ignored. It shrank the raw upstream payload, which the canonical response never exposed, so it changed nothing you can see and cost the author details |
