LinkedIn Profile Stats API

Returns a LinkedIn member's audience size: their follower count and their connection count.

GET /v1/linkedin/profile/stats

Last updated November 2026Maintained by the SocialCrawl team

When to use the LinkedIn Profile Stats API

Use it when all you need is reach numbers and you do not want to pull the whole profile.

From the API reference

Returns follower_count and connection_count for a member and nothing else. /v1/linkedin/profile returns the same two numbers (author.followers, author.following) at the same credit cost together with the full profile, so prefer it; this lane exists for callers that want the two counters with no other fields in the response.

LinkedIn API

What can you do with the Profile Stats API?

The Profile Stats endpoint gives you structured LinkedIn data with computed fields in a single request. No scraping infrastructure to build or maintain.

Example Request

# GET /v1/linkedin/profile/stats: 5 credits per call. Cache hits are free and failed calls are refunded.
# Check the price first for 0 credits: add dry_run=1 to the query. Nothing is fetched or charged.
# --max-time 21: this endpoint's measured p99 latency x 1.5.
# --retry 3: retries timeouts, 429 and 5xx, honoring Retry-After.
# -o response.json keeps only the final attempt's body.
# One Idempotency-Key per request, reused on every retry, so a retried call is never charged twice.

Contact us
How do I get a LinkedIn member's follower count?
Send a GET request to /v1/linkedin/profile/stats with the member's LinkedIn profile URL in the url parameter. The response returns the member's follower count and connection count together in a single object.
What is the difference between followers and connections?
Follower count is everyone who follows the member's public posts, while connection count is the mutual connections in their network. This endpoint returns both numbers so you can gauge reach and network size at once.
Is the stats response a list or a single object?
It is a single object, not a list. One call returns one stats record with the follower count and connection count, so there is no pagination and no array to iterate.
How much does the LinkedIn Followers API cost?
Each call costs 5 credits on the advanced tier. New accounts get 100 free credits with no credit card, enough for 20 stats lookups before you ever need a paid plan.
How do I use follower counts for audience sizing?
Follower and connection counts let you rank creators, size a prospect's reach, and filter influencer lists by audience. Poll the endpoint on a schedule to track follower growth over time for the members you care about.
