LinkedIn Profile Complete API
Returns a member's full background: author in the /profile shape, and background with About, experiences, educations, skills and recommendations in the profile/* item shapes.
GET /v1/linkedin/profile/completeLast updated November 2026Maintained by the SocialCrawl team
When to use the LinkedIn Profile Complete API
Use it for background checks and enrichment, where one premium call replaces profile, profile/experiences, profile/educations, profile/skills and profile/recommendations.
Not for follower or connection counts, which come back null (linkedin/profile/with-posts, linkedin/profile/all), or for recent posts (linkedin/profile/with-posts).
From the API reference
Returns a LinkedIn member's full background in one premium call, in place of /v1/linkedin/profile plus /v1/linkedin/profile/experiences, /profile/educations, /profile/skills and /profile/recommendations. Two keys carry it in SocialCrawl's own shapes. author is the same Author object /v1/linkedin/profile returns (username, display_name, bio, location, avatar_url and the ext flags, urn and member_id included); followers and following are null because this call reports no counts. background holds summary (the About text, or null) and five arrays whose items match the matching /v1/linkedin/profile/* endpoint item for item: experiences (title, description, location, date such as {start: "Apr 2025", end: "Present"}, employment_type, skills, company with id, name, url and logo), educations (id, school, date, degree), skills (skill, is_passed_skill_assessment), recommendations (received) and given_recommendations (text, date, type, recommender). A leaf this call does not carry is null rather than missing, for example a role's skills and a recommender's urn, and educations is an empty array when the member lists none. Every other top-level key (firstName, fullPositions, languages, projects and the rest) is the original packed record, kept unchanged for compatibility; languages and projects are only available there.

What can you do with the Profile Complete API?
The Profile Complete endpoint gives you structured LinkedIn data with computed fields in a single request. No scraping infrastructure to build or maintain.
Example Request
# GET /v1/linkedin/profile/complete: 10 credits per call. Cache hits are free and failed calls are refunded.
# Check the price first for 0 credits: add dry_run=1 to the query. Nothing is fetched or charged.
# --max-time 60: the API's own time limit for this endpoint.
# --retry 3: retries timeouts, 429 and 5xx, honoring Retry-After.
# -o response.json keeps only the final attempt's body.
# One Idempotency-Key per request, reused on every retry, so a retried call is never charged twice.
