Naver Place Search API

Returns the Naver Map place list for a keyword at one point, in Naver's order: rank, name, category, address, distance, status, review counts, and ad slots on request.

GET /v1/naver/place/search

Last updated November 2026Maintained by the SocialCrawl team

When to use the Naver Place Search API

Use it to see who ranks around you for a keyword, competitors included. Use naver/place/rank for one place's position.

From the API reference

Returns the Naver Map place list for a keyword, as a person at one point sees it: organic places first in Naver's own order, each with place.ext.rank (1-based), then the paid 플레이스 광고 slots with place.ext.is_ad: true and place.ext.ad_rank. Each place carries its id (chains into GET /v1/naver/place and /v1/naver/place/reviews), name, category, address, phone, coordinates, distance from the point in metres, open status, visitor and blog review counts, and booking link. Naver ranks by distance from the person searching: send lat and lng for the point, or the search is made from Gangnam Station. Ad slots are returned only with ads=true. If the main list cannot be read, the call is answered from a second Naver list: the first 30 places, without distance, open status or ad slots.

Naver API

What can you do with the Place Search API?

The Place Search endpoint gives you structured Naver data with computed fields in a single request. No scraping infrastructure to build or maintain.

Example Request

# GET /v1/naver/place/search: 4 credits per call. Cache hits are free and failed calls are refunded.
# Check the price first for 0 credits: add dry_run=1 to the query. Nothing is fetched or charged.
# --max-time 60: the API's own time limit for this endpoint.
# --retry 3: retries timeouts, 429 and 5xx, honoring Retry-After.
# -o response.json keeps only the final attempt's body.
# One Idempotency-Key per request, reused on every retry, so a retried call is never charged twice.
