Naver Place API

Returns a Naver Place card: name, category, address, phone, coordinates, description, photos, open status, visitor and blog review counts, and booking link.

GET /v1/naver/place

Last updated November 2026Maintained by the SocialCrawl team

When to use the Naver Place API

Use it to read a place's current card, or to get its coordinates and review counters before tracking its rank.

From the API reference

Returns the Naver Place card of a local business: name, category, address, phone, coordinates, description, photos, open status and the next change (place.ext.status, place.ext.status_description), Naver's two review counters (place.ext.visitor_reviews_count, place.ext.blog_reviews_count), booking link and keywords. place.reviews_count is the visitor review count the card shows. Naver shows no star rating on many categories (hospitals among them), so place.rating is null there. A place id that does not exist returns 404 and is not charged.

Naver API

What can you do with the Place API?

The Place endpoint gives you structured Naver data with computed fields in a single request. No scraping infrastructure to build or maintain.

Example Request

# GET /v1/naver/place: 3 credits per call. Cache hits are free and failed calls are refunded.
# Check the price first for 0 credits: add dry_run=1 to the query. Nothing is fetched or charged.
# --max-time 60: the API's own time limit for this endpoint.
# --retry 3: retries timeouts, 429 and 5xx, honoring Retry-After.
# -o response.json keeps only the final attempt's body.
# One Idempotency-Key per request, reused on every retry, so a retried call is never charged twice.
