Yelp Business Info API
Returns one Yelp business by its 22-character encid: name, unrounded rating, review count, price level, address, coordinates, categories, photos, and timezone.
GET /v1/yelp/business/infoLast updated November 2026Maintained by the SocialCrawl team
When to use the Yelp Business Info API
Use it when you already have a Yelp encid. Alias slugs return not found. GET /v1/yelp/search finds businesses by term and location.
From the API reference
Returns a unified Place for one Yelp business: name, alias URL, unrounded star rating on a 5-star scale, exact review count, price level, address, coordinates, categories, photos, and timezone. Identify the business by its 22-character Yelp encid (id). A Yelp URL works only when the /biz/ segment is that encid; alias slugs return 404 (auto-refunded). Phone is not present on the upstream payload. To find an encid, start from GET /v1/yelp/search.

What can you do with the Business Info API?
The Business Info endpoint gives you structured Yelp data with computed fields in a single request. No scraping infrastructure to build or maintain.
Example Request
# GET /v1/yelp/business/info: 1 credit per call. Cache hits are free and failed calls are refunded.
# Check the price first for 0 credits: add dry_run=1 to the query. Nothing is fetched or charged.
# --max-time 60: the API's own time limit for this endpoint.
# --retry 3: retries timeouts, 429 and 5xx, honoring Retry-After.
# -o response.json keeps only the final attempt's body.
# One Idempotency-Key per request, reused on every retry, so a retried call is never charged twice.

|---|---|---|
| id | No | Yelp business encid, the 22-character opaque id (for example zj8Lq1T8KIC5zwFief15jg for Prince Street Pizza). Alias slugs such as prince-street-pizza-new-york-2 are not accepted on this surface: they come back as not found. |
| url | No | Yelp business URL. Only URLs whose /biz/ segment is the 22-character encid resolve. Alias URLs such as https://www.yelp.com/biz/prince-street-pizza-new-york-2 come back as not found. |
