Xiaohongshu Post API

Returns one Xiaohongshu note with its full body, images or video, creator and engagement counts.

GET /v1/xiaohongshu/post

Last updated November 2026Maintained by the SocialCrawl team

When to use the Xiaohongshu Post API

Use it when you already have a note URL or note id. Search rows only carry a short summary.

From the API reference

Returns one Xiaohongshu note from its URL or note id: full body, images or video, creator, likes, comments, saves, shares and the IP province. post.ext.text_truncated is false. Search rows are only a summary. Xiaohongshu does not publish view counts, so post.engagement.views is null. The video link in post.content.media_urls downloads with no extra headers. Xiaohongshu's image servers refuse a download whose User-Agent does not start with Mozilla/5.0, so send a browser User-Agent when you fetch the images.

Xiaohongshu API

What can you do with the Post API?

The Post endpoint gives you structured Xiaohongshu data with computed fields in a single request. No scraping infrastructure to build or maintain.

Example Request

# GET /v1/xiaohongshu/post: 5 credits per call. Cache hits are free and failed calls are refunded.
# Check the price first for 0 credits: add dry_run=1 to the query. Nothing is fetched or charged.

# --retry 3: retries timeouts, 429 and 5xx, honoring Retry-After.
# -o response.json keeps only the final attempt's body.
# One Idempotency-Key per request, reused on every retry, so a retried call is never charged twice.
