Pinterest Trends API

Returns the Pinterest Trends list for a country: growing, seasonal or top terms, each with rank, relative search volume, weekly, monthly and yearly change, and seasonality.

GET /v1/pinterest/trends

Last updated November 2026Maintained by the SocialCrawl team

When to use the Pinterest Trends API

Use it to find what a market is starting to search for on Pinterest without naming a keyword, optionally narrowed with include and exclude keywords.

From the API reference

Returns what people in one market are searching for on Pinterest, with no keyword in: the Pinterest Trends list for a country and a table. type picks the table: growing (terms rising fastest, the default), seasonal (terms that come back at this time every year), top_monthly or top_yearly (the most searched). Each item has rank (1 is the top), term, country, market (the list Pinterest reads it from: Ireland reads GB+IE, Australia and New Zealand read AU+NZ, Great Britain alone has its own list), type, search_index (relative search volume, 0 to 100 within the answer), weekly_change, monthly_change and yearly_change (as Pinterest reports them, a fraction where 0.3 is +30%; Pinterest reports 100.01 for a term that was near zero before), seasonality (0 to 1), url (the term's Pinterest Trends page) and as_of (the date Pinterest's weekly data is as of; null on the rare call served while Pinterest throttles the primary route). Narrow with include and exclude, comma-separated keywords. Filters that match nothing, and a list Pinterest has empty, return 404 at 0 credits. Flat 10 credits whatever the depth. Exact repeats within 6 hours are served from cache at 0 credits.

What can you do with the Trends API?

The Trends endpoint gives you structured Pinterest data with computed fields in a single request. No scraping infrastructure to build or maintain.

FAQ

Have a question? We got answers

Find answers to frequently asked questions about SocialCrawl's API, pricing, and capabilities.

Contact us
Is there a Pinterest Trends API?
Yes. /v1/pinterest/trends returns the Pinterest Trends list for a country as JSON, with no keyword needed. Each item has rank, term, country, market, type, search_index, weekly_change, monthly_change, yearly_change, seasonality, url and as_of.
What are the Pinterest Trends tables I can pull?
type picks the table: growing (terms rising fastest, the default), seasonal (terms that return every year), top_monthly and top_yearly (the most searched). Add country (default US) and limit (1 to 50, default 25).
What do search_index and the change fields mean?
search_index is relative search volume from 0 to 100 within the answer. weekly_change, monthly_change and yearly_change are as Pinterest reports them, a fraction where 0.3 is +30%, and Pinterest reports 100.01 for a term that was near zero before. as_of is the date Pinterest's weekly data is as of.
Can I filter Pinterest trends by keyword?
Yes. include keeps terms containing one of up to 10 comma-separated keywords, such as nails, wedding, and exclude drops terms containing any of up to 10 keywords. Filters that match nothing return 404 at 0 credits.
Which countries does the Pinterest Trends API cover?
Only countries Pinterest publishes a list for. Any other country is a free 400 that names the accepted codes. Ireland reads Pinterest's GB+IE list, Australia and New Zealand read AU+NZ, and Great Britain alone has its own list.
How much does the Pinterest Trends API cost?
Each call costs 10 credits on the premium tier at any depth, whatever limit you set. Pinterest publishes weekly, so exact repeats within 6 hours come from cache at 0 credits, and credits for failed or empty calls are refunded automatically.
