G2 Product API
Returns one G2 software product by slug or URL: name, description, rating, review count, categories, seller, pricing plans, features, and alternatives.
GET /v1/g2/productLast updated November 2026Maintained by the SocialCrawl team
When to use the G2 Product API
Use it when you have a G2 slug or product URL and need the full product page, including rating and pricing, before paging reviews.
From the API reference
Returns one G2 software product: name, description, star rating, review count, categories, seller, pricing plans, feature list, alternatives, comparisons, and media. Pass the G2 slug (postman) or the full G2 product URL. Contact enrichment of the product's own website is off by default; set website_contacts_crawl_mode to homepage or deep to include it. For written reviews call GET /v1/g2/reviews with the same id.

What can you do with the Product API?
The Product endpoint gives you structured G2 data with computed fields in a single request. No scraping infrastructure to build or maintain.
Example Request
# GET /v1/g2/product: 5 credits per call. Cache hits are free and failed calls are refunded.
# Check the price first for 0 credits: add dry_run=1 to the query. Nothing is fetched or charged.
# --max-time 27: this endpoint's measured p99 latency x 1.5.
# --retry 3: retries timeouts, 429 and 5xx, honoring Retry-After.
# -o response.json keeps only the final attempt's body.
# One Idempotency-Key per request, reused on every retry, so a retried call is never charged twice.
